SWG Aide

Post by Haylia »

Hiya folks,

I'm having a little trouble with SWG Aid and I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me where I'm going wrong :)

I've used an ISD to survey all the minerals on my server (kettemoor), I've used my 30k resource deed to look up all the stats of all the resources that had no stat info into the res.txt file. I've submitted the res.txt file to SWGCraft.... it *says* it exported correctly and everything seemed to go fine- yet the information doesn't seem to be showing up on SWGCraft anywhere. Any ideas on where I've gone wrong?

Thanks for the help! :)

There have recently been some problems with SWGCraft, but 05.00 GMT Slyvampy posted that it should be OK. Can you test again, please.

Plus add some info about galaxy and resource types.

This is taken from the res.txt file made with SWG Aid where I filled in the resource #'s using my 30k resource crate to referrence them. I've tried to export the res.txt file to SWG Crafter several times. When I click "submit res.txt" it says 36 resources were exported and clears the res.txt file as it should- it seems as if its worked. However the data does not seem to actually be reporting on SWG Crafter, although I did notice that there are a few resources listed under the recent changes with my name. I must be doing something wrong but I cannot locate what step I've missed or done incorrectly.

Thanks for your assistance :)

I see that you marked a bunch of resources as unavailable about 5 hours ago, so that worked OK. Then you must have pressed the upper button.

I assume you must have pressed the middle button to save the file to res.txt and you then filled it with stats in-game using the 30k kit.

When you say you submit these data, do you then press the bottommost button, named "Submit res.txt"? If you do, is there a progress meter that fills up?

Have you checked the log files in the folder named "logs" within the folder where SWGAide is located? If these say anything, please attach them to your reply here. I think you have to ZIP them first as the forum do not accept any kind of file type.

Cheers

I assume you must have pressed the middle button to save the file to res.txt and you then filled it with stats in-game using the 30k kit. Yes this worked without issue as well.

When you say you submit these data, do you then press the bottommost button, named "Submit res.txt"? If you do, is there a progress meter that fills up? Yes, I press the button, a little progress meter shows up, it doesn't animate any movement or filling up it just disappears after a few seconds. Then I see across from it "36 resources updated."

Have you checked the log files in the folder named "logs" within the folder where SWGAide is located? If these say anything, please attach them to your reply here. I think you have to ZIP them first as the forum do not accept any kind of file type. I do see a lot of info in the logs. As per your request I am zipping them and attaching the file.
Thanks again for all your help and time :)

Found the error, you must be the first at Kettemoor that have used SWGAide since I found a nasty spelling error. It will be fixed in next release in a few days. I am so sorry for the troubles and am grateful for your help.

Oh gosh no- please don't apologize. Thank YOU for making this amazing program! I'm honored that I could have been of assistance in helping to make it even better!

I'm looking forward to giving it another try when the next release comes out :D

May I ask, now when I try to resolve why SWGAide failed uploading this. I fixed the Kettemoor spelling mistake in the latest release but you should have gotten several popup dialogs telling you about the error, did you not?

Is there a link somewhere that can explain exactly how to use this terrific program?

I see references to the "30k kit" and I have a few of those deeds around but I don't see exactly how it's being used. I'm also getting nothing but errors when I try to upload the ISD results, as follows:

Upload Issue: <resource name>

ERROR: "Unknown status number: -1":
"SWGCraftSOAPHandler:addResource:java.security.PrivilegedActinException:com.sun.xml.internal.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl:invalid Content-Type:text/html. Is this an error message instead of a SOAP response?

Take notes! SWGAide will continue

I would be grateful if you could point me to some good usage info. The readme just doesn't seem to be helping me much.

Welcome around, we are happy to see so many newcomers here :D

While at the ISDroid panel, press F1 for the help text, or use the Help menu :)

I cannot say much about the error unless you post me the two logs that are found in the folder named "logs". Possibly you have not set up user name and password in the Options >> SWGCraft.

I will expand a little on the 30k crate, assumed that you have one.

One of its options is USE which opens up a little screen where you can choose resource classes to finally drill down to a real resource that has once spawned or that is currently spawning. As long as you only see resource class names or resource names you are fine, nothing bad will happen.

When you finally select a resource name, the next screen reads the stats of that resource, giving you a chance to accept or back out. At this screen, be cautious. Many players have ended up clicking the wrong button and some have hit the ENTER key while type chatting and ... :( (not anymore)

Read the stats and type them into the in-game notepad. Carefully click in the resource screen, but not at OK, use the ESCape key at the keyboard to back out from the stats back to the resource classes.

This way you can read the stats of almost all resources that have ever existed in game and those that are current. Just be careful at that last screen before you accept a resource.

I also touched the AddResource function today as part of getting the Out of Spawn resource adding working so that might have caused a problem somewhere

Naturally, nothing should have changed regarding current resources, but I might have made a mistake somewhere

Had no problem to add a Copper. Is there anything specific I should test with?

I see an error in the log from your IP at 22:04:40: PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class soap_fault could not be converted to string in ****** on line 3613

Anything in the logs on your end?

EDIT: I also see a ton of errors from the IP of Zarrak Galactic, presumably one per resource
