Is there a point to the tailoring experimentation line in domestic's expertise? My wife is coming back from 3-year hiatus, and I'm trying to help her put together a domestics build, and I'm stumped on whether tailor's really need it. I play a structures trader, and outside of harvies/factories, the experimentation line is pretty useless, tailoring seems to be in the same boat, just curious on whether I'm missing something obvious or not.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Tailoring Expertise?
If all you want to do is make clothes, then no you do not need experimentation, nor expertize for that matter.
If you want to do RE on your Tailor, then yes. For BM Im not sure if you need Clothing Experimentation or not.

Re: Tailoring Expertise?
This is needed for BM crafting ..hope this helps
Entertainer buff:
Fashion-cost 2--+2 to assembly of clothing and experience -- -- Tailor
Profession expertise:
Domestics = Tailor experimentation (Clothing) for most components
Domestics = Food experimentation (Chef) for the Chemical Reactive Unit
Domestics = Artisan for Pet Food

If it's stuck
...force it ...if it breaks,
you needed a new one anyway

You do need expertise to garuntee (sp?) items that allow a socket to gain that socket, otherwise it may or may not appear.

Re: Tailoring Expertise?
I do agree, and resource quality doesn't matter...I just prefer to use my expertise points, a little OCD like that
