time, quantity and additive
Hello everybody,
Im not an old chef, playing about half year. But i cant make nutrition additive more than 118. Somebody can make better now?
Second is the time or quantity problem. What is the good more time or more quantity? (with maximum nutrition value)
I reckon in the combat drink and food need more time, non combat need more quantity. What do you think?

Re: time, quantity and additive
118, what about your resources? Sounds like you have inferior resources, right? What do you use for Organic? Remember that you can use Wood with high OQ, which normally can boost somewhat when the others are worse at PE and/or FL.GrolinHUN wrote:Hello everybody,

Charges vs. duration, yes I think you are right, if you really want to have two lines of produce. Or if you want to simplify and only go for either one.

I often meet so called "skilled crafters" that don't know about the "features" that exist. The Beginners Guide mention them all, but ... why should a "skilled crafter" read such a guide?

Failed.
im use the following resources.
Wood: OQ 984
Creature Food: (insect meat)
OQ: 871
PE: 944
FL: 871
And Fungi:
OQ: 974
PE: 991
FL: 702
Assembled (27%), and experimented (3 amazing) = only 118.

Re: time, quantity and additive
You have several stats that are low, OQ and FL in the meat is low, and FL in the Fungi.
None of the resource classes called for are capped;
the schematic calls for
55 units of Organic
35 units of Flora Food
20 units of Creature Food
The weights are
OQ=50%, PE=30%, FL=20%
Hence your resources become, from the formula read in the Beginners Guide:Already by inspection at the intermediate values you see that FL ditches your resources, even though only 20% and 20 units it is counted as 20 units of the 55 units in total in that slot. Also, OQ is barely above 960 at the intermediate point and it has the highest weight of them all.
Perhaps find a meat and flora with even better OQ since it has the highest weight and see if you can find a combination that makes it work for you.
In the end of the day it is the complete combination that makes it happen, do not look at resource by resource. That is why I in the guide and in SWGAide say that the rating for one resource is just a hint.

+ 0.3 * ------------------------ +
35+20
35*702 + 20*871
+ 0.2 * ------------------------ =
35+20
105630 53565 41990
= 0.5 * ------ + 0.3 * ----- + 0.2 * ----- =
110 55 55
= 0.5 * 960,2727.. + 0.3 * 973.9090.. + 0.2 * 763.4545.. = (intermediate)
= 480.13636.. + 292.17272.. + 152.69090.. =
= 925.0000
+ 40 (resource refiney) =
= 965

Re: time, quantity and additive
I notice that the math is off, 965 should not even make it for 118. Then I see that you say both OQ and FL is 871 for the meat, is that so?
On the other hand you have it laid out so you can plot the data yourself now

90+(96.5/100)*30=118 (118.95 depending upon what you think is happening to the fractions throughout the process)Zimoon wrote:I notice that the math is off, 965 should not even make it for 118..... /Zimoon

Re: time, quantity and additive
Hehe, learning every day. I was not aware of that formula but thought it was 120 * X, with X = 0.965 in this case. Thanks.Laura wrote:90+(96.5/100)*30=118 (118.95 depending upon what you think is happening to the fractions throughout the process)Zimoon wrote:I notice that the math is off, 965 should not even make it for 118..... /Zimoon

That formula was just from the Food Chart, which lists the nutrition increase as 90-120%. it seems to work for the additives that I have crafted, however some Food Chart entries do seem incorrect so I always use the values with caution.

965 is well above the number needed to hit 118--in fact it's pretty close to hitting 119. The minimum is around 934.
I've never worked the formula out like Laura did, but it looks right. Im not sure what the lower limit is, it might actually be 91 - 120 but I've never made 0 quality tissues lol. Might be interesting to try and do that though.
