Has anyone been able to get SWGAide working on a Bloodfin Emulator client? For me, the installation never finds a valid client installation, so it must be looking for something that I don't have in the Bloodfin directory or the SWG directory. Thoughts?

Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
SWGAide is looking for one of the following: SWGEmu.exe, SWGClient_r.exe or bottom.tre.
Does the Bloodfin directory or SWG directory not contain any of those? Generally, you want your directory to be the one that contains a sub-folder called profiles. Which one is that?

Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
The directory \Bloodfin.Net\Emu has a sub-folder named "profiles," but when I select this directory during installation, the SWGAide installation process gives me an error message stating that no valid SWG installation folder could be found. This directory does contain the file bottom.tre, but not SWGClient_r.exe or SWGEmu.exe.
NOTE: When I execute the primary client file for Bloodfin Emulator (Bloodfin.exe), it appears in Task Manager as SWGClient_r.exe.
I plan to copy Bloodfin.exe to a duplicate file named SWGClient_r.exe to see if that satisfies the SWGAide installation process.
Thanks!

Are you using the latest version of SWGAide? bottom.tre detection is only a few versions old.Atyn wrote:The directory \Bloodfin.Net\Emu has a sub-folder named "profiles," but when I select this directory during installation, the SWGAide installation process gives me an error message stating that no valid SWG installation folder could be found. Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
I'm using SWGAide 0.9.8. Is that the latest version?
Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
Kinda, the 0.9.8 version was the last one Zimoon made. All the versions I have created since are named like SWGAide 0.9.8-Sobuno-<version number>, with SWGAide 0.9.8-Sobuno-0.0.11 being the newest. They can be found at https://github.com/Sobuno/SWGAide/releases.Atyn wrote:I'm using SWGAide 0.9.8. Is that the latest version?
Can you tell me the exact error it sent you? Maybe as a screenshot or something. It will help my debugging a lot
Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
If anyone is having this same issue, you are likely downloaded Zimoon's last version (0.9.
from the original site at "https://sites.google.com/site/simongronlund/swgaide" as I did instead of Sobuno's updated version at "http://swgemulator.wikia.com/wiki/SWGAide" (Links > SWGCraft).
I don't recall how I linked to the old version to help in that aspect, but two points to add:
-If on Zimoon's old version AND on BLOODFIN EMU, problem is in locating the SWGClient_r.exe. QUICK FIX is to copy Bloodfin.exe (Right click > Properties, notice it's Description is Bloodfin's version of SWGClient_r), paste that back into the same folder after renaming to SWGClient_r.exe. In reality you can name any rename any .exe to SWGClient_r.exe and place in there, it's just the key to let SWGAide know where to find the character data (Sobuno, please correct me if I'm wrong).
-Point 2 I briefly looked at Sobuno's repo and it appears this problem has been corrected (haven't tested) so if on current version, you shouldn't have an issue. But to Sobuno, most folks just want the straight binary and linking to it from wiki to github I think makes some uncomfortable if they don't know what they are looking at. To many bogus/virus sites and if you don't code, github isn't familiar. Suggest "http://swgemulator.wikia.com/wiki/SWGAide" has a direct download of "SWGAide.exe".

Re: SWGAide for Bloodfin Emulator
Sadly, there is no static address for the latest version when using GitHub's release system as it changes for each version. I have added some code to the SWGAide page that gives the URL for the latest version at the bottom of the page, but that requires JavaScript which is not possible in the wiki you mention.Drayodo wrote:If anyone is having this same issue, you are likely downloaded Zimoon's last version (0.9.from the original site at "https://sites.google.com/site/simongronlund/swgaide" as I did instead of Sobuno's updated version at "http://swgemulator.wikia.com/wiki/SWGAide" (Links > SWGCraft).
