SWG Resrouce Tracker -- program by Gram

Post by Arden » Fri Aug 23, 2013 3:46 pm

I found it one day here - http://www.gramsplace.com/srt/ Gram's place website has been deleted but I made a mirror of it using the wayback machine. http://www.aterimperium.com/srt/

It's about 95% done. There is one small issue with manually downloading the lookup lists, but it really isn't a big deal as they are downloaded each time the program starts.

As you can see you can filter by profession -- currently just Bio Engineer, Doctor, Armorsmith and Weaponsmith.

There is a feature that allows the program to read the notes file in your profile directory.

If you use a resource you put the amount used in your notes and the program will up date your inventory to reflect the change.

Use or sell 50000 units of fluhe you add this note to your notes

srt inv -50000 fluhe

Add a new Resource (Goma) to your inventory and set an initial Stock -- add this note.

srt inv 500000 goma durall 785 581 996 950 381 148 969 977

Likewise, polysteel copper and some gas spawns

srt inv 29016 Treu Rethin 741 801
srt inv 292831 Itritoa polysteel cop 744 949 670 623 941 843 749 775
srt inv 94329 carboryena polysteel cop 769 932 621 618 944 389 729 733
srt inv 186012 Inatrya dioxis 314 981

You can obviously add resources to your inventory straight from the program.

The program will auto download updated resources every hour from swgcraft.org so long as you leave it running. It is all automated.

Just uploaded the file.

Will need to make templates for DE and Chef at some point.

Download the update .org version.

Updated the zip with a new server.csv file to include some new servers.

Yeah he outlines using swgcraft.com files and downloading them to import them to his program.

I was wondering if anyone still had contact with him. His site is still up so was hoping he might update the program or push it to open source.

Anyone know what url's specifically were used for the import? (www.swgcraft.com/[whatgoeshere])

Might be able to hack a client side redirect without modifying the code of the original.
It's on my to-do list.

Yeah I look through the exe and found the URLs, but did not right them down. I look again today.

Here are the URLs listed in the exe.

Code: Select all

http://swgcraft.com/
http://swgcraft.com/files/planets.csv
http://swgcraft.com/files/resourcetree.csv
http://swgcraft.com/files/servers.csv
http://swgcraft.com/sendfile.php?file=currentresources_
http://swgcraft.com/sendfile.php?file=status.txt

I think part of the other problem, even with corrected URLs, is if the CSV file format is the same.

I tried manually downloading the files and putting them in the resourcetracker data folder to see if that would work but it did not.

I'm sure a patch could be made to change the URLs using open space at the bottom of the exe but I'd rather get the authors permission to do anything like that.

As far as I am aware, the file formats should be the same as we specifically wanted to retain backwards-compatibility with third party programs made for the previous SWGCraft

Awesome, thanks for the info.

It seems the way the files are downloaded in the program needs to change as well.

IE

http://swgcraft.com/files/resourcetree.csv

will have to be changed to

http://www.swgcraft.org/dev/sendfile.ph ... cetree.csv

You could use SWGAide as I believe it offers the same features + more (Though I have never used any of them, only Merchant's Friend back in the day)

It's kind of a side project to see if I can get it working or possible get the source from the author if he/she isn't going to update it.

I want to first thank Sobuno for mirroring a lot of his files for me. Without the help from him this would have been a lot more work to get it working.

I got the program working by hexing some URLs in the exe. The only thing that is not working is the manual Download Lookup List. But, like I said it really doesn't matter because the files are downloaded each time it starts. It goes a little buggy if you try and use the feature but everything else works fine.

Hope you guys find it useful.

Sorry for the slow reply, Darkives.

Both of the files, unmodified and modified are in the first post. The unmodified file is at the top and the hex version is at the bottom of the post.

I emailed the web contact for gram's place a few months back. The only action was to remove the srt urls and files. I assume whomever it was didn't want to deal with it.

I put up a BE Tissue temeplate over on the EMU boards. You can find it in this thread.
