Nifty, I am only looking at this from the perspective of updating resources such as water where its not worth wasting 10 ISD's and Survey tools for a single response from each planet, its much easier and cheaper to update using the 30k resource deed and direct entry.

Am in the process of adding the note-based edition:

Code: Select all

swgcraft_start
core, nab, dant, dath, must, kashy, Sobunosresource, randomclass, stat1, stat2, stat3
swgcraft_end
Don't try it right now though, as you'll encounter errors

Okay, should be working now

The old format will still send you to add_resources.php:

Code: Select all

swgcraft_start
name, class, stat1,stat2,etc.
Inputting at least one resource in the new format will send you to add_resources_multi2.php (With resources inputted without a planet specified being planetless.... you must mark them yourself through the box on there):

Code: Select all

swgcraft_start
planet1, planet2, planet3, name, class, stat1,stat2,etc.
swgcraft_end
Oh, and it allows abbreviations of course.

It will act weird if you only input planets and name though, as it assumes that the last two alphabetical inputs before stats are name and class

I am not sure if this is a bug or not but I thought I would try this out and added animal bones from from Dantooine, Endor, Kashyyyk and Yavin, all four requests registered happily in the "add resources" window with their stats but I noticed the Kashyyyk one didn't have the box ticked (in the planets sub-menu) so I ticked and added the resources. However when I checked them the Kashyyyk one had not updated and all the rest had.

There was also no sign of it in the confirmation screen (after addition).

The data I used was:
kashyyyk,odwio,kashyyyk animal bone,578,370,357,609,673

Hmm, worked fine for me: http://www.swgcraft.co.uk/dev/show_reso ... ?id=811027

With the data you provided, and just clicking brain-dead through it (Checked the planet sub-menu and the check was there too :S)

I am also getting odd results if I try and add this:
swgcraft_start
talus,aujif,talusian avian bone,90,366,722,391,251
tatoo,fletar,tatoo avian bone,222,56,383,376,379
yavin,seivifad,yavin avian bone,72,341,150,319,308
talus,wrirass,talusian avian meat,625,213,762,468
swgcraft_end

The two resources in red show up as Talusian carnivore meat which isn't hard to change but it does screw up the stats as well.

Okay, something's going wrong there for sure as this:

Code: Select all

swgcraft_start
aujif,talusian avian bone,90,366,722,391,251
fletar,tatoo avian bone,222,56,383,376,379
seivifad,yavin avian bone,72,341,150,319,308
wrirass,talusian avian meat,625,213,762,468
swgcraft_end
returns it correctly.

I'll look into it

Yep worked fine, I figure I will do a full server creature update one resource at a time that way if I run into more problems I will find them quicker and screw things up far less.

:)

I think I know what the problem could have been, the version I gave you was not exactly the same as the one I tried to upload...
The original upload was
kashyyyk.odwio,kashyyyk animal bone,578,370,357,609,673

There was a . and not a , between kashyyyk and odwio.

What happened was that the check for if the resource already existed didn't take into account the offset created by the planet notation. This meant that it checked for a resource named Talus, which apparently exists for your server or something like that, and just used the class fetched from the database instead of whatever you inputted (As classes can't be changed through the Add Resources interface anyway).
