Good Stats for YT-1300

Just made my first YT-1300, it uses a crazy amount of resources and I'm wonder if these stats are any good, Im a standard SW not wearing any +exp clothes.
Maximum Mass: 5004174.0
Also could you suggest a reasonable price for this, ty

Thats pretty good going for a first attempt. As a guide using medium grade resources you get a mass of around 5002723.5 With HP of around 3400. If you go for top spec stuff then you can get a bit higher.

Mass on a YT1300 is not an issue, you are never going to be able to fill 500k mass. Maybe one day they will have cargo hauling rules and that mass will mean something.
Unless they turn space decay on again, HP are not an issue either. Basically make the POB ships with any old resources you have laying around, it just doesnt matter.
I sell these ships for 750k or 5 cpu

Yep I have a set of rules I use for setting prices.....
I sell POB ships at around 650k
I sell POB parts at between 750k-2mill depending on the specifications. (Typically 750k though)
High Mass Fighters etc again I sell at 500k.
The above market is how I actually make money.
For general parts I tend to sell for
10k Lvl 1-2
12k Lvl 3-4
18k Lvl 5-6
24k Lvl 7-8
35k Lvl 9-10
That is a very loose guide, as specialist fittings can range in price.
That is the model I use for me, however people use different systems and thats totally up to them.
I tend to find thats how I get most of my business buy selling generic parts rather than top spec parts, which I will obviously charge more for.
I have 8 shiwright vendors, which can be a pain in the ass to maintain!

Wow Mobious, my blood pressure was starting to rise as i read your price list, then I saw you claim to make "generic" parts rather then "top spec".
It never occurred to me to make "generic" parts, I only make "top spec". The exception would be chassis, where the resource requirements are so large that it doesnt make sense to use ubber resources. On parts, I have always made the very best that I could.
My prices follow a general guideline of 5 cpu for chassis and 10 cpu for parts. So My price list looks like this
lvl chassis parts
1 75k 5k
3 150k 10k
5 300k 20k
7 400k 50k
9 750k 100k

Well I was very careful to say pricing is purely subjective.
I worked in the games industry for 10 years, and spent a number of years as a manager, and the absolute golden rule is that you work to the requirements of your customer.
I have absolutely no doubt that you produce top class products and there is definately professional pride. Hence why I sometimes post when I have a 99% part because, you have to spend time making sure you get the right resources, and it takes a lot of time, and real pilots appreciate that.
For example I had to RE some Trandoshian guns so that a customer had exactly the same weapons that Slave 1 uses in the film
However (although this isn't the case so much now) that there are people that are just battling to level up and so these are what I call generic or grind quality parts. They aren't the best, but they are functional and people buy them knowing that.
If anyone want top spec parts then obviously they will cost a lot more to reflect the time and effort that goes into it.
So there is always space for different people in the market. I have 8 vendors in my shop that are all shipwright as I know that people appreciate the different levels of parts.

On any POB chassis i would tend to max out the hitpoint line first, its no biggie but where a chassis could be used in pvp i like to make em as tough as possible, i apply the same thinking to a Y8 reactor when its going into a normal POB, 40k gen rate from a mining reactor is more than ample, the hitpoint line gets the rest of the points.
On pricing i'm 3 cpu for chassis with an average of 750 on resource stats, and 5 cpu on parts. Most of the parts are capped and 5 cpu may sound cheap for near to server best resources but i look at it from the view that i get return trade. With most pilots taking 8 x mk 1, 8x mk 2, 8 x mk 3, 8 x mk 4, 4 x mk 5 and 8 x POB parts, that comes in at approx 5 mill in sales of 1 customer. Add in chassis sales to that and its a fair whack of any players creds.
With resources you mine yourself costing under .1 cpu these days its a fairly big markup, if making creds was the only thing i wanted to do i could certainly just forget about crafting and sell resources and probably quadruple what i'm making now, but thats no fun

However you are adding to the discussion and these forums are pretty new, so Im going to rule "no harm no foul" and let this one go.
5 mill per customer is way, way too low. My estimation is that over a piloting lifetime, I should be getting many millions more from each customer then that.

Bumping an old post wasn't my intention, just stating my take on things. It's not like i'm trolling thru a lot of pages of threads and i feel that anyone should know where a forum contributor is coming from
