Well no... not really, it all depends on the number of sockets available, to make a capped one you need 6 general sockets

Great. what I thought but sometimes the chassis names make reference to a class.. Surg droid.. etc..

Yeah, I usually make my harvesting droids from the mustafarian mining droid, it doesnt matter, it could be an astro droid really but its a new model and the name makes people think of it when they want a harvesting droid, thus increasing the chanse that they will see my droid when they are doing vendor searches

That are the chassis I am using:
Guardian Mark II Droid Module - Creature Harvest x3 (+60) + armor/combat modules CL90
This one have 1% less mitigation than a full combat Guardian Mark II Droid or Super Battle Droid, but it is level 90 for a crafter.
Probot Advanced Model Module - Creature Harvest x5 (+100) + armor/combat modules CL61
Here also a non-combattant droid die too fast.
Mining Droid MK3 Module - Hand Sample x6 (+59) CL1
Non-combattant droid (no armor needed) the first sewer wort will kill it anyways

I like using the Adv Probot droid... I have one I made before JTL and I rolled that character as a jedi when I returned.. they data pad shows the lvl as a 88... Not bad for making it 3 years ago!
Thanks for sharing the info..
