Re: Resource sampling macro
If you post the macro you're using we can help you better. There should be no need to target the droid or pet if you're using the /follow pet or /follow (droid) syntax.

Re: Resource sampling macro
yes, /dump is what you want. If you use a lot of looping macros with complicated (or a lot of) timed actions it you might find it easier to make it a macro and then assign the macro a key or place it on your action bar. Of course, if all your macros allow you the time to type /dump without closing t...

Re: Q would you buy sub-comps if you can make them yourself?
I think its just a case of misunderstand due to not being able to hear his tone of voice and syllabic inflection. The biggest short-coming of text based communication, unfortunately.

But we should still BURN HIM! You know, on principle.

Re: Q would you buy sub-comps if you can make them yourself?
Right - except that I didn't say buying sub-combines was lazy. I said, lazy crafters would be among your potential customers (along with busy crafters, people short factories, cheapskates, interdependents, and respecs.) Buying components doesn't make you lazy, but some lazy crafters do buy componen...

Re: Armor Modules
Me too i have the same question! My friend who used to be a DE for a long time said the armor modules cap by just using the level 4 ones and not the level 5 or 6's. So if that is true then the battle segment can be of a lesser quality for that particular armor level 4 segment I would assume. These ...

Re: How do we give our new droids (post update 12) a name?
I suspect they didn't change anything... and that is the problem. There has always been a bug where some droids you just couldn't name... it seems completely random (no specific class of droid) but no matter what you just couldn't name them. I'd thought they would fix it for the update. :( Oh, one m...

Re: Resource sampling macro
The macro can still be used with mining droids. But since the buff is triggered automatically you can remove the /ui action pettoolbarSlot3 line since it doesn't do anything. However, if you use a lvl 90 pet to help protect you while sampling in nasty areas you can keep the macro as is and use it fo...

Re: Q would you buy sub-comps if you can make them yourself?
I think if a trader is established and actively mining resources there is little need to purchase capped sub-comps that I can't make myself. If I'm newer and don't have my library of resources yet it might be a different situation; however, new traders might not have the credits to buy capped comps ...

Re: What do you keep stocked
I keep some vehicles on hand, they don't sell that often. I keep tons of customization kits of all kinds and batteries and they sell more often than the vehicles. I sell droids fairly well and am expecting that to get better with the updrade. And I sell several 100k of electonric components a week. ...

Re: Moving too Starsider
Gah. just saw this thread. I'm on starsider and business is consistant at a couple 100k in electronic comps a week with droid sales and accessories in waves. I'm doing great for the amount of effort I put into it. I'm hoping for big things with GU 12.

Re: Resource sampling macro
aren't droid names in parenthesis or brackets (can't rememeber which). The name on the follow command has to be identical to the name as it appears on the droid, including the parenthesis.
That should fix it right up for you.
/follow (Axel);
